Akio Part 2 Character Introduction

Akio Part 2 Character Introduction

By, Justin O’Neal

Lights flickering, wires dangling from the ceiling tops. Desks, chairs, and papers were scattered throughout the entire bunker. Untamed corpses lay lifeless beneath the rubble. Many cells with doors ripped from the hinges. A mystery left the research lab empty and abandoned for years to come. Until…
“W-what could have happened here?” Akio stumbles upon the entrance. Not yet seeing what had happened to the inside of the shell that use to have a sort of meaning. That yet hasn’t been discovered. The enclosement was torn from the cement slab which held its place. Looking straight ahead, you could tell the entrance was at a downward sloop. Well sealed though to stop the rainfall from leaking in. Ivy helped support what was left of the top half of the door, keeping it suspended in the air, so it didn’t fall to the ground. Creeping its way to the other side of the bunker. That was left outside the ground. It was all completely covered by the vine.
Akio slowly makes his way to the gateway. His head just in the door way. Little droplets begin to fall and slip through his greasy hair, from the water that marched on the ceiling in a zigzag passion. Not able to see the reality of the place yet. Akio has trouble deciphering the long drawn out, metallic halls. His vision just couldn’t seem to grasp the fact it began to rot.
In the distance he sees lights stung together with wires dancing alongside the gusts of wind. That seep through the no longer tightly sealed door. Almost as if the bunker still had a life of its own.
“W-what went on here?” Akio thought as he made way to the main room. “This… This is inhuman.” His eyes widen with fear, while he begins to tremble. Only thinking of what may have happened. Cells that looked like they may have been used to contain humans. Humans that were traded as a slave to something.
“Why would there have been slaves if there was no intent in using them? There must be something I am missing. Why would there need to be cages for humans here in the first place?” Anything and everything came to mind for Akio except the fact they could have very well been test subjects. But what was being tested? Throughout the room many capsules were lodged in many different directions. Some lay on the floor and desks. Others were even bolted into the side of the think metallic walls and ceiling. A bright icy blue liquid glows and lays thick in the capsules.
Akio gets close to the center. Stepping over many files skimming over one he reads the letters, “Test Subject, Elyna”.

          “S-someone, get in here, now!”
          “What is it sir?”
          “Look!”
The men look over to a cage. The bars have been bent outward as if they were made of thin wood easy to snap.
“W-where could she have gone sir?”
“I—I don’t know.” Though the others could tell it was a lie. His face grew a sickly pale white. As worry struck him when he knew what had happened. “Izumi” He muttered.
          “What was that sir?”
“Nothing” His tone change to a calm voice acting as if nothing terrible happened at all.
“We must get her back now!” Though this time the tone was reassuring.
Just as that was mentioned it was if others were already on the search. Deep in the distance Sebastian heard someone yell “I FOUND HER.” Surely enough it really was her too.
Her hair was down to her shoulder on one side while the other was just above her breast. The icy blue hair match her drawn out wings. Still delusional from the capsule with the glowing liquid being injected to her vessels several days earlier. Before her “accidental” escape. She doesn’t understand the fact she’d been freed. Nor did she even understand or remembered she had been a prisoner in Sebastian’s test facility for that matter.
“Excellent” Sebastian said with a half crooked smile. “Let’s lore her back in here, then the training must start tomorrow!”
“On it sir.”

Not even a month had gone by, Elyna was a mighty fast learner. She learned to fly within the day she first started training. Later to find out, flying wasn’t the only ability she posset, and flying soon then became much more bearable for Sebastian. He enjoyed the other abilities that came with the flying nonetheless.
Elyna also had a great sense of strategic moves. She would called them allowed during her training in a calm voice, you almost couldn’t be sure she meant it. Her left eye turned into a monocle, but not just any monocle. This one was tended a teal color that had shapes in it. It was a square shape with rounded off corners. A circle the size of her eye, with lines symmetrically center on all four sides. Last but not least there was a dot the size of her pupil. Making her eye a scope.
She soon realize though that wasn’t the last of her abilities, nor was it her most important. Placing her hands out in front of her she noticed weapons would begin to appear out of thin air. With Elyna being only the second of the facilities test subjects this was new to them. Though it had widen their minds. It was a strange selection of weapons though they had thought together. They had not seen her summon anything other than bows. They on the other hand found this a bit neater due to the fact of a quiver full of arrows appearing on her back as well.
“Ah, I believe she is ready is she not?”
“Ready for what sir?”
“Her first mission of course.”
“You don’t mean?”
“Yes, Yes I do indeed. Once we get rid of him.” An evil laughter echoed throughout the lab while the other members continued to join in. Sebastian excited he contacts Elyna as soon as he could.

“Elyna, do you have the target acquired?”
“Not just yet sir, I do not.”
“Well, what the hell is taking you so long Elyna?  We need you on the target NOW!”
“Sir, you do realize, this is the first you have contact me about this. Right?”
“Yes?  What a stupid question.  What remains though is why you still don’t have the target in sight.”
“Sir, you have not given my any of that information.” Elyna states in a half-wine.
“Oh, yes, yes.  I had forgotten.”
                “Okay, so who is he?”
Elyna lifts to the sky relaxed.  Her shoulder blades began to go out words.  The back of her legs bind up into a point.  Wings are drawn. She darts, to get ready for the information, Sebastian is about to give.  Faster than a missile.  Elyna’s right eye turns into a scope while out of her left hand a bow appears from the sky.  This bow was shaped with metal spikes at the start and end of a half circle bows possess.  Being a midnight purple with a chrome color pink streaking the sides that were deeper in the shell of the bow.
“Elyna, are you ready?” Told in a voice ready for war.
“Yes, equipment is almost all drawn.”
What more could this woman do? Well she draws out an arrow as she places her right hand behind her back.  As she did that, a quiver was then visible on her back. Full of arrows, they had the ability to hom.  Elyna then pulls the bow string towards her placing the arrow in position.
                “Sir, everything is ready.”
“Nicely done, our target’s name is “Akio”.”
                “Background?”
                “He is the one.”
Elyna’s eyes widen.  As she thinks to herself.  “He can’t be, it is just too soon for this.”
“Okay sir, getting him in sight now.”
Using her eye, Elyna was able to find Akio without knowing his location.
                “Now get on with it.”
                “Will do sir”
Elyna soars across the sky, finding Akio with no problem. Slicing through every bit of air the arrow also has no problem getting to Akio. Unfortunately the arrow misses?
                “Huh? How you this be?”
Again Elyna draws an arrow from the quiver, draws the bow string back and allows it slide through her fingers once the string is at its maximum.  The same thing happened.  This time she carefully looks around thinking there may be an interference.  With no luck, there wasn’t anything to pin point.
“Sir, are you there still? Sir, this is argent.  Sir?”
Unable to get ahold of Sebastian, Elyna rushes back to the lab where Sebastian stays stationed while hunting. She nears the entrance with a terrible chill down her spine.  Slamming the door open, the whole place is nothing but a mess, left behind like a child’s room.  Files and papers scattered every which way you look.  Desks flipped with broken glass and shrapnel from the metal everything is made with scattered within the room.  Before this the lab look of nothing but metal with a blue glow to cover up the cracks left where the first metal slab ending and the new one began.
“Sebastian, are you here?  Hello, sir.”
“I’m afraid he just left.  Do you wish to leave me with a message?”
                “And who are you exactly?”
“Oh, that?  That isn’t for you to know.  Again, do you wish to leave a message?”
“To hell with that, why would I leave you a message?  I don’t know you plus the lab is now a mess.”
“Yes, your lab is a mess but you don’t know the reason behind why it is.”
                “You did it didn’t you?”
“Perhaps, but why would I do this?”
“I don’t know you tell me.”
“Actually, I won’t be telling you why.  I got what I was after.  I am on my way now.”  The mysterious man leaves with nothing more than a cup of water.

“Ah, so she is after Akio huh?  Thankfully I was there to misdirect those arrows.  Akio, huh?
The mysterious man sets back to the location of Akio’s vicinity, hiding out in a cave near the town called Aldipine.
“W-what was that all about?  Sebastian, are you around here anywhere?”
Elyna, skims the lab over once more, this time she hears a moan under some of the shrapnel.
                “Sir! Are you “okay”?”
“Y-Yes, I am. Don’t mind me though, we have more important things that need care right now.”
                “What is it sir?”
“Than man who was here, you must” Slowly his voice begins to fade.
                “I must was sir?”
“You must.” It was too late. The words stay trapped within his mouth at this time.
“Sir?”  Crying Elyna still tries to hear the rest of what he had to say. “Sir please!  What must I do?”  Elyna’s muscles in her hand tighten while tears fall timeless down her cheek.

Rage growing by the minute, Elyna only has but one thing on her mind that she must do, and that is to seek revenge.  “God damnit” Hands still clinched “Who the hell was that man.  What was he after?  Sebastian didn’t have to die.  Not this way.”
Elyna, again raises to the sky, this time not relaxed, draws her weapon and sets forth for revenge.  Not having a clue who he was or knowing his name only made it harder to find him.  Tears falling from the sky she knows there is no way to find out who the mysterious man was. Her only hope was Sebastian, and now there is no hope left for her.

A devas smile grows wide.  “I have what I want, now all is doom.  Akio is safe, and that is all that was needed. Well, I mean I guess I should still go back to the lab and collect their research when all is clear.”  The mysterious man works his way out of the cave. There sets Elyna.  “W-well Hel-hello again.  What might bring you here?”
Elyna’s face covered in a look of evil.  “You!” she replied with force.
“Me? Well what did I ever do?”
“Sebastian. He died, because of YOU!
“What do you mean?  I was only there for a cup of water.  I knocked a few times no one answered so I let myself in.  As I entered the place was already the way it was as we both saw it earlier.  I looked around to see if anyone was injured, but there wasn’t anyone to be found.  I am sorry for the loss you hold today, but I’m not the one you should be blaming.”
“If it wasn’t you then who? Who did such a thing?”
“I’m not sure.  I would love to help but I must be on my way now.”
“No! It was you, how stupid do you think I am?”
“Miss, please just listen to me, it wasn’t me!  I have to go now.”
“Fine, but I swear, if I find out it really was you, there will be no holding back next time. I am sorry for the inconvenience.  I will leave now.”
The man’s face grew wide again.

“That was almost too easy, the research will be mine at last!”

Akio began to feel sick, finding out that he had been targeted. Still puzzled though as to why these humans were being used. He begins to search through the files even more finding more test subjects, he descends into a ghost like figure once more only instead of gazing upon Elyna’s story it was of but another subject named Azure.

“Elyna, do you have the target acquired?”
“Not just yet sir, I do not.”

Akio Chapter two

 Akio Chapter 2
By Justin O'Neal

The wind Slowly begins to pick up. The trees sawing back and forth as if someone was trying to pull them out of the earth. The sounds of the outside world are swallowed up by the entrance of the cave. Echoing throughout the tunnels that lead to the prison cell.

“Oh, I sure hope no one followed me out here. I guess its time to man up anyways if someone did follow me. Its not like they can do anything to me anyways. I have something they don’t . Oh my it seems as if I got carried away again. I guess I had better get training before it gets too late.”
“Hmm, my my my it seems as if we have a wanderer out here. I must get back to Emi and hide her before this villager finds her. Heaven knows he wouldn’t be able to save her anyways. Plus it is no where near her time for being released.”
The wondering villager begins to whack at a tree for his so called training he very well came out here to do.Rapidly he moves with great speed, as he continues to hit the tree with his forearms. Shortly after he reaches behind his back and places his palms on a handle. Pulling his arms back in front of him he draws out a pair of daggers with three blades. Also known as the Sai. The villager holds them out in front of himself. The blades lined up vertically with the sky. Trying to start relaxed he takes in a chest full of air. As he raises the Sai it appears as if he had pulled it apart to make two. He is now at the state of peace.
“ Alex, don’t touch that is is very sharp! Alex, I told you not to mess with that.”
“But mom, --”
“No, no buts. Just don’t be messing with it.”
A few weeks later found as the headline on the morning paper. “Boy missing along with his grandfathers sai’s.”
“Alex there you are. You had us all so worried.”
Not to long after Alex arrives he ends up disappearing again. “Boy ends up missing a week after his first disappearance, and has not been located within more than a week.”
“Oh Alex I was afraid this day would come.”
Even though it has been years since these events had happened. In this state of peace the villager just cannot seem to shake the past articles from deep within his memory. “Boy Still missing, a year has past, and leaves no hope of him still being alive. Leaves mother devastated, and shortly after that the mother of the missing boy becomes ill from her son's disappearance after two years.” As Alex remembers reading all of those articles just not to long ago and has no one else to blame but himself. Tears began to roll down the villagers face.
*sniff* “How could I have let something so terrible happen to my mother, after all she has done for me. It was so stupid for me to run away with granddads sai’s. H-how could I do that to her?”
Regret and rage start to get to the best of him making it hard for him to stay relaxed.
“How was I suppose to know you would become ill about this though? If only I wasn’t so obsessed with these sai’s. Maybe, just maybe you would not have gotten ill and you would still be here. No, I will not let this get to the best of me. None of this was my fault. If only she understood what was really going on with me. Than I would not have has to of ran off. It isn’t like this type of training is welcomed here in this village. Wait, no! That still means it is all my fault. No, no matter how I look at this I am the one to blame. For I need to take responsibility for my own actions. If I had not wanted to go behind my village’s back and work on training. I would not have had the urge to run off with these sai’s and none of this would have happened in the first place.”
His eyes grow wide and his mouth opened in a sobbing fashion. His hands clenching his skull as he drops his knees to the ground. Just trying to find any sign of hope that he is not to blame for what has happened to his mother. Alex Leans up against the tree with his left arm, the tree he was using to train with. He hits the tree full force with his right arm.
“No! It was not my fault someone else was controlling me. I was not in control of my own actions. I really didn’t want to leave, not like that anyways. There would have been no way for mother to believe me though, if I was to tell her someone else was controlling me. Not even if I had proof of it. I will be stronger than this guilt.”
Alex then looks up towards the sky
“How long have I been out here?”
The sun slowly fades to a pinkish orange color. Slowly it begins to disappear into the horizon of the earths surface. Almost as if it was being eaten. The darkness that follows the lack of light from the disappearing sun, quickly grows to the other side of the horizon. Twinkling stars start to shine. Being the only source of light left, until the moon, soon appears. Its almost like it was following the darkness that engulfed the sun. It appears the sun has been reborn as the moon, or at least the sun’s light is reflecting over to the moon. Casting A bluish white glare that gives the earths surface a peaceful look. Causing the shadows from the forest of the villagers stay to look more frightening than ever. The wind begins to pick up, just as the moon covers its face to hide from what brews from the southwest. Almost as if it were alive. Bright flashes of light begin to show up all with in the midnight sky. Surrounding the village at the bottom of the forest. The citizens of the village seem to be silent. The wind howling as if it was to cold. While the midnight sky roaring as if it were to hot, and light reflecting from the light of the village as if the village was saying its too dark. Soon there were no more traces of the moon and or stars. Only because a thick film of moisture giving off a grayish color that covers the night sky. As the tears of the Gods soon begin to pour over the vicinity of the village. Sharp crackles vibrate through the forest.
“W-what was that?”
Gazing towards the place of where the sounds came from Alex then realized it was about to start storming, and that he was lucky to have not been caught up in it at least at the time being.
“Damn, I shouldn't have let all the guilt and grief get to me like it did. Now, not only do I have to worry about getting back to the village undetected. That way I don’t end up getting questioned of why I was out here this long. But now I have to find shelter before this storm hits. That way I don’t end up getting sick from being out in the damp rain. Where would I go though? Hopefully there is an empty cave near by since coming across a hut in the forest these days seems merely impossible. It would be time consuming to search for a house and a waste of time considering most of the people who would live out here are not very happy to see others, but that is probably because it has been forbidden to live out here.”
A great flash  of electricity bolts from the ground upward although it appears to be the opposite of that. A piercing gaze, tears being thrown up against the trees. Another great flash of light dances around until it reaches the mouth of a cave.
“Ah, there seems to be a cave.”
Dashing for the cave before he gets drenched. Alex realizes it was too late for that, but ends up getting to the cave before it got too bad. Thankful for being able to seek shelter from the lightning. Something he didn’t realize was that he wasn’t the only one in that cave.

Akio Chapter 1

Akio Chapter 1
By Justin O'Neal

“Someone help me please, someone!”
A whimpering voice cries, as she abruptly hits her hands against the iron bars to her carved out prison cell, deep within an abandoned cave. The echo of dripping water falls from the ceiling and oozes out of the walls.
“Oh this is useless. No one can even hear me. I’m not sure why I even bother.”
“It’s because Emi, someone will indeed find you one of these days. At least that is what you hope will happen one of these days. You just have to believe that you will be free from this treacherous prison.”
“W-who are you, more importantly how do you know my name. A-and how do you know where I am? Can you help me, are you the one who is going to save me?”
Her eyes grew wide and lit up with joy.
“ I am terribly sorry madam, but you see I do not merely exist outside the walls of your imagination.”
“So, what you are saying is that you are made up? That I made you to keep me company? You are Imaginary? “
“Yes that is correct”
“Than why do you seem so real to me?”
“Life is full of mysteries madam. This one I can explain only to be that it is because you are lonely. You have not had any kind of contact with any other life forms for a while now. I can certainly promise you though help is on its way.”
“H-how do you know this? I thought you said… Wait a minute am I going crazy? Haha, that must be the case. That is the only reason I must be hearing voices. Especially ones that promise me help is on its way.
“ Think of yourself as being crazy if you wish, but this is very much so going to happen. I’m not sure who he is, nor have I ever seen him. It has been said that he is the same person from decades ago. Same name, same intents, but with a different body and different mind set.”
“So what you are saying is that it isn’t going to be until years before I am rescued?”
“More like a hundred years or so. Yes.”
Slowly she begins to see less and less. As her vision start to fade away.
“Miss… miss are you alright? Hello there, miss?”
groaning “W-what happened?”
“I’m not quite sure. It seems as if you may have blacked out there for a bit.”
“How long was I out for?”
“I would have to say a few days. At least five though.
“W-why can’t I feel anything? I-i can’t even move. Oh, this is just terrible! Sir, might I ask you of your name? You have been so kind to me lately. ”
“Oh, lets not worry about what my name is just at the moment. Anyways shouldn’t you know? I am your creation after all.”
“Oh yeah that's rights. How do you suppose this happened to me sir?”
“Well I would have to say it has something to do with you being locked up all by yourself all this time. You see it is very unhealthy to stay locked up locked up like this all day. Something like this could make you go insane. Have you tried to get out for a little bit?”
“No”
“Well why not?”
“Maybe it has something to do with me being behind bars in an unknown area.”
“Oh, yeah I guess I had forgotten about that.”
“So, do you have any other great ideas then? Hello? Where did you go off to? Mister please don’t leave me. Not at a time like this.”

A Life With Magic

 A Life With Magic
By Justin O'Neal

“No Lexi, honey. Leave the fish alone. It’s dead.”
“What do you mean the fish is dead, I just saw it swimming not too long ago.”
“I know honey, I’m very sorry, but there isn’t much that can be done.  Go get your sister for me please. Uuh, she will be devastated.”
“Bella” Lexi said sniffling.  Mother wants you. W-why, what’s wrong?”
With great worry on Bella’s face, she soon heads to her mother.
“Yes mother, what is it you want, and why is Lexi sad?”
“Sweetie I’m sorry but I must tell you.  Goldy’s time has come.  Do you want me to take care of it for you and Lexi?”
“We can do it mother. Thank you though.”
Lexi, come on we’re going to take Goldy to the river instead of mother.”
“Okay, give me a few seconds please.”
            “We will be back mother.”
“Okay, be careful you two.  After all I should be going with the two of you since you are both fairly young, but I trust you.”
“Thank you, we will be back as soon as we can.”

“Give me what I came here for!”
“I am awfully sorry sir, I know not of what you came for.”
“Don’t play stupid with me!  You know very well what I am looking for.”
“Again sir, I am sorry but I don’t know what it is you are after.”
“Look Ma’am, I don’t want any trouble so please let’s not do this the hard way.  Now I suggest you take me to what I am after!”
As that was said, a shot was fired sounding off into the distance.  Beneath the sound of the misfire, the woman had said “You will never be able to get your hands on my daughters.”  Lexi and Bella are surrounded by the sound of the shot that killed their mother.  Not sure where it came from though they linger their way back to their home.  The criminal had fled the scene as soon as he got the chance.
“Bella, I give you the honors of placing the fish to its watery grave.”
As Bella set her hands on the dead fish, she could feel the scales retract.  Then the fish began to splash in Lexi’s hands.  Allow the girls to jump in excitement.
“Mama, come see this.  Goldy is alive again.”
As they got closer to their home.  They had realized there were many flashes of blue and red lets, coming from their house.  Watching them load a black body bag into the back of vehicle.  They had decided to stay back out of sight.
“That can’t be, we just talked to mother not too long ago.  How could this be?  Why must it be? If only father hadn’t left us not to long ago.  None of this would have started!  All of this would be gone, it would be different.  Wouldn’t it?”
“Come Bella, we must go before we are caught.”
“Go where?  This is the only place we have gone and this is the only place to go.  We are on our own now.”
“I know, but would you rather live together or be separated?  Because children with no parents get separated most of the time.”
“As the twins mage their rash decision to live with no one to be there for them.  They head back home after all the commotion dies down and everyone leaves.
“How will we get our food and other supplies we need?”
            “I don’t know yet.”

“Did you get what I asked for?”
            “No sir, I’m afraid I didn’t.’
“Guards take him to the test site.  We don’t need people who fail me.  At least he can’t screw this job up.”
“Wh-what, will you do to me sir?”
“Nothing to painful. I had some new experiments to try.  Why you lucky Ginny pig.”
            “Wa-wait sir.  I will---

“Mama, here is the fish you asked me for.  Will papa be okay?”
“I’m going to be just fine.” The father manages to squeeze out as he coughs.
“Hey, now Grace, leave your father be for now, Okay?”
Beginning to come down with something. “Oh, it appears I have the same thing your father does. Along with the rest of the village.”
“Mama, do you know why I am the only one in the village who isn’t ill?”
“Sorry, everyone is just as puzzled as we are.”
“I need you to do me a favor though.”
“What is it I must do?”
“I have been hearing terrible rumors about you, and I just want to know you are safe so.”
“What kind of rumors were they?”
“Well the village think you must be one of those people.”
“What do you mean by one of “those” people?”
“The village has been saying you are the reason we are sick with this god awful illness.  I have also heard talk of them wanting to kill you for it.  Hoping it would be the cure to this illness.  I have tried to convince them, you aren’t the one to blame for it, but no one believes me.  I am sorry I have failed you.”
            “Don’t say stuff like that!”
“I just need to make sure you are safe.  Can you do that for me?  I need you to leave the village and come back in a few weeks.”
            “But… where will I go?”
“That was the problem your father and I haven’t figured out yet.  I’m just going to leave that decision up to you though.  We figured it would be easier that way.  Just let your father and I know before you leave, if that is alright with you.”
“I think I will just go out in the forest a little ways from here and set up a campsite.”
“At you age? You are only five. I think it is just best you head out into the forest.  Just be safe will you?  You are safer surrounded by beasts then inhumanity.”
“I am basically take care of myself already though.”
“I guess you do have a point there, with your father being sick and him in need of me I can see how you take care of yourself fairly well.”
“So, when do you want me to leave?”
“Whenever it is you are ready.”
“Okay I think I am ready for this.”
“I am terribly sorry it had to come to this Grace.  Your father and I love you very much so.  Try not to get lost or into any trouble.”
            “I know, I know.”
Just as Grace walked into the shadows of the forest.  A stranger to the vicinity, comes tromping to the front door of the largest hut in the village.  The man looked as if he meant business.  All tough looking and the sense of being serious was throughout his personality.  He begins to knock at the door.
            “Hello who is it?”
“Don’t worry about who I am.  Worry more about what I will do to you if I don’t get what I came here for.  Well I am sorry sir, but I am going to have to ask you to leave.  I don’t know what you are talking about I don’t know who you are, so it appears you have the wrong house.”
“It doesn’t matter who I am.  I want what I came here for!  If I don’t get it then I must kill the whole village with the disease you all came down with.”
“You mean you are the one who gave us the illness?”
“Well I would say it was directly me, but it was my people who did.”
“W-Why would anyone do such a thing?”
“That way we could get what I came here for without a problem, but as it seems that won’t be happening.”
“Sir, you must realize you have to give me some kind of notice with what you want. Before you just come knocking on someone’s door. Forcing them to give you something. They don’t even have a clue what it is.”
“You obviously don’t know who I work for then.”
            “N-no, I don’t believe so sir.”
“Then it is best you keep your mouth shut, and give me what I came all this way for.”
“I still don’t know what you are talking about sir. But if it satisfies you. I will allow you to look around the village, if that helps you any?”
“That won’t be necessary.  I will just burn this place into ashes.  After all that is what my real intent was to begin with.  P-please sir, anything but that.  If it is wealth you after. By all means take it! We don’t have much but it is yours for the taking.  I will do my best to give you all I can.”
“Ha, I’m not here for something, but someone.”
            “W-who are you after?”
“Give me a name and I will go fetch them for you”
“You are too late for that!
“Sir, please I beg of you. Don’t burn this poor village down.  It’s all we have left.”
“I don’t care what you have and what you don’t have. You forced me into doing this and I enjoy this part very much so.  All hope is lost for this village.  All I have to do is release this chemical into the air and the illness you have will react to it. It will kill you all instantly.”
“You mean the illness your boss gave you?”
“I am my own boss. How dare you believe a person like me would be of all a messenger.  Thankfully I won’t be seeing you scums anymore.”
“Wait!  If you open that vail, letting the chemical out, won’t it effect you too?”
“Are you stupid or something?  It will only effect those who have the illness. A reaction occurs.”
“Then what about the person you have been looking for?  Won’t it kill them too?”
“Fortunate for me is she is a very different person then you all think.  She isn’t able to get the virus I gave this rotten village
Before any more could be said he lets the fumes of the chemicals loose.  After that he used the power he holds deep within him setting the village on fire.  Making it look like the masseur was a natural cause.  Just as the leader of the village heard that.  His eyes widened and before the effect of the chemical could reach him he whispered “Grace” as his final breath.  As he knew that was who the mysterious man was after. The smell of flames traveled through the thick forest.  Slowly, creeping up on Grace.
“What’s that smell?  It smells an awful like, smoke?  I hope the village didn’t get into an uproar.  I don’t care anymore.  They are the reason I am out here in the first place.  I must get close enough to see if it is the village.  If it isn’t then I will have to explain to my parents I thought the village may have been set fire. If it is the village then I have no clue what I will do.  The village would come after me though if I was caught lurking around the outer edge of the forest.  I guess I should stay here. After all they are the reason I won’t be able to save them anyways.  Ha they deserve to die. Blaming me for the illness.  They wouldn’t let me get close to them even if I told them I was there to save them.  Sad to believe they would rather die than to let me same them.  Knowing how they think I’m to blame for their illness.  They must think I’m the one who caused the fire anyhow. Ugh, stupid townspeople.  Why did you all have to go and accuse me of something I wouldn’t do?  Sorry mama and papa. I would save you guys though.  I just can’t save you!  I’m sorry, I just can’t!” Tears begin to race down Grace’s face.
As the sun falls into the horizon.  Followed by the purplish shadow that is cast.  Grace’s campfire glows on the ground as her eyes begin to tear.  Slowly the tears start into the fire, making a crackling noise.  Grace’s tries to figure out what she is supposed to do.  Now that she has absolutely nowhere to go.  Thinking of solutions that could help solve what she is to do now. She can’t help the feeling deep within her about the fire, was her village.  Due to the smoke coming from directly where the village lays.

Grabbing his head Leo comes in with a terrified scream. “Gah, it’s here, it has already started!  This can’t be happening, not now.  What will we do?  What will we do?!  The corruption, it’s finally here.  What will we do now?  It has found us!”
            “Leo, just calm down.”
“No old man!  You can’t keep me from my feelings. The corruption has found them.  It has found our heroes.  Now all hope is lost!”
The old man eyes widen.  “What do you mean they were found?  That’s impossible!  We must let “him” know at once!”
“But how sir? How will we contact “Him”?  We are quite a ways from the clan.”
“I know.  That means we only have one choice.”
“No, wait!  We can’t just abandoned these people.  They need us.”
“Yes, that may be true, but there won’t be any people needing saved if we allow the chosen ones to be captured.
“Okay, let’s go.  We must hurry to warn the others.”
“We have no time to trace the clan and save the kids from the corruption.  We must save the three ourselves.  I know it will be risky, but there just isn’t any time.  Anyways I’m sure the master already knows.  Have you forgotten what he can do already?”
“Oh yes, that is right. I’m sorry I had forgotten for a brief moment.  I’m just worried is all.”
“So, you said that Grace, Bella, and Lexi were found correct?  I’m sure anyone would forget about any “one” kind of power in a situation like this.”
            “Huh? I sense someone.”
“Who is there?  Come out I must warn you I’m the top of my guild.”

            “Norio, isn’t it?”
“Y-Yes, but how do you know me?  No one knows my real name.  I have always been known as Shora in this world.”
“Ah, really?  Is that really your power?  The only thing you are good at is telling the future.  Ha, this will be much easier than I thought.  If you were so good at telling the future then tell me, how did I get here without you tracing me?”
Just as that was said the lady and her grandson unleashed vines incasing Norio, dropping him to his knees.
Laughing the woman says.  “You really think since my nickname means “future”.  That was what my power would be?  No one has been given the ability to do that yet.
